Welcome to Tranquil Trails, a therapy practice nestled in the of Oakland, Pittsburgh, neighborhood home to UPMC, the University of Pittsburgh, and Carnegie Mellon University. Our cozy office sits right on Fifth Avenue, across from Pitt’s well-known “Cardiac Hill,” just around the corner from Insomnia Cookies and Redhawk Coffee. We’re easy to find, easy to reach by bus, and always ready to welcome you.

At Tranquil Trails, we are a small, dedicated team of three therapists, each bringing unique strengths and approaches while sharing one guiding philosophy: therapy should be collaborative, individualized, and empowering. Together, we work with clients to co-create treatment plans that honor their personal experiences, values, and goals—helping them build autonomy and connection to their own healing.

Our therapists are trained in a range of evidence-based and mindfulness-informed approaches, including Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), Trauma-Focused CBT (TF-CBT), and Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT). Our team holds advanced training and certifications in ADHD Comprehensive Care, LGBTQIA+ Affirmative Therapy, and Clinical Anxiety Treatment (CCATP).

As the Owner, Lead Therapist, and Clinical Supervisor, I bring nearly 20 years of experience in the mental health field, with the last 10 years as a Licensed Clinical Social Worker in Pittsburgh. I am also a Certified Women’s Mental Health Specialist and a Supervising Licensed Clinical Social Worker in the state of Pennsylvania. My approach blends insight, flexibility, and creativity—drawing from multiple therapeutic modalities to meet each client where they are and guide them toward greater tranquility, resilience, and self-understanding.

At Tranquil Trails, we don’t believe in one-size-fits-all therapy. We believe in collaboration, compassion, and connection—helping you find another way of living, one that brings peace, clarity, and balance.

Hi! I'm Lily

Hi, I am Lily, Owner and Clinical Supervisor at Tranquil Trails. With over 10 years as an established PA licensed therapist, I established this second home away from home for those transitioning into adulthood. Nestled in the heart of Oakland, and just a hop away from the nearest bus stop on 5th Ave, we aim to provide accessible care to students from the University of Pittsburgh and Carnegie Mellon University, as well as the community of medical professionals studying at UPMC. We aim to provide indivdualized, tailored treatment to assist in a number of issues facing today’s youth; including the uncertainty of the job market, feelings of loneliness, chronic stress and burnout, lack of friendships, or those just looking to sit and vent. We are here daily to help meet the needs of this unique generation. We employ visual learning methods as we know 80% of adults retain information better this way, and we let the client lead, ensuring autonomy and intrinsic motivation.
