Meet the Team: Lily VanDyk

Hi, I’m Lily!

I founded Tranquil Trails in 2019 to provide a specialized, affirming space for young adults and adults navigating identity formation, anxiety, emotion regulation, ADHD, Autism, complex trauma, and any other number of mental health struggles.

I studied clinical social work, psychology, and art therapy, graduating from the Boston College Graduate School of Social Work. After moving to Pittsburgh 10 years ago, I continued my work as a Mental Health Therapist and supervisor for inner-city schools, and also worked at the Children’s Hospital of Pittsburgh, and two local dedicated non-profits.

My approach is personal: you are the expert on your own mind and body. I am here to work alongside you to heal wounds, celebrate your uniqueness, and help you see that life can work with you, not against you.

We will approach feelings differently, viewing symptoms as protective factors that we lean into rather than push away. Grounded in trauma-informed care, somatic therapy, parts work, cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT), interpersonal therapy, psychodynamic therapy, acceptance and commitment therapy (ACT), and mentalization-based therapy, I weave and pivot modalities based on your unique attunement and response.

In my office, you have complete autonomy and permission to show up exactly as you are. Amidst the many psychosocial stressors of our generation, my role is to guide you back to the innate healing power you hold within yourself.
